Blue Slide Park in Pittsburgh 🛝

If you are a Mac Miller fan, you MUST visit Blue Slide Park and the Frick Park Market! Even if you aren’t a fan, it’s such a fun day trip. Here’s a guide for what you should do…

Blue Slide Playground : A huge park for everyone! There’s a playground, walking/hiking spots, and picnic areas! At the park there’s the famous Blue Slide that you have to go down. Just grab a piece of cardboard (people leave them at the park!) and slide down! It’s awesome seeing other Mac Miller fans come together here! Mac has a song called “Blue Slide Park” about this exact park.

Frick Park Market : Come to the Frick Park Market, a place Mac named one of his songs after. The food is very yummy! There’s lots of different wraps and sandwiches, and you can customize them. They also grow their own veggies! Not to mention, the owner is awesome! He is so kind and let’s fans come stand behind the counter for pictures (there’s pictures of Mac behind the same counter!). He is very friendly and loves to chat with everyone. Inside you can also leave a message about Mac, that goes to his mom. Its so amazing to see all the messages from fans all over the country so impacted by his music. There’s a pretty seating area out back and also seating in front.

Mac Miller Mural : Next you can stop by the giant Mac Miller mural that is so incredible! It’s such amazing artwork.

Eat'n Park : Lastly you should stop by an Eat’N’Park to get some smiley face cookies! There’s a like featured in his song “Knock Knock” that says “Keep on smiling like an Eat’N’Park cookie”.

I literally just started crying at the fact that the owner does that - I also saw when the memorial book gets filled he send it to Mac’s mom ❤️

right after he passed away they held a huge memorial ceremony at blue slide park, i went with my sister and it was AMAZING. we ended being on the local news, they had music, and his family was there to speak, it was a whole vibe of music and art and people. incredible.
