MOVEMENTS OF THE WEEK! 🧘🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🤸🏼♀️

Reflecting on a week packed with diverse movements truly showcases the power of consistency and variety in a fitness routine. From my experience, combining running, Pilates, and daily walks not only boosts physical health but also uplifts mental well-being. Starting with running, tracking your distance and pace as seen in the weekly log helps set clear goals. For example, hitting a 4.5-mile long run or maintaining a steady 9:11/mile pace can be motivating milestones. Using tools like Heart Rate monitors adds another layer of insight, enabling you to train smarter by balancing intensity and recovery. Pilates, often underrated, complements running by enhancing core strength and flexibility. Including a 49-minute Pilates session once a week improved my posture and running efficiency markedly. Plus, the gentle, low-impact nature makes it a great active recovery day choice. Walking, especially when combined with social activities like a walk-and-talk with friends or family, not only boosts daily step counts (sometimes over 17,000 steps in a day!) but also supports emotional health through connection and fresh air. Incorporating different workouts throughout the week prevents boredom and overuse injuries. Listening to your body, as shown by adjusting workouts on tougher days (like opting for 3 miles instead of 5), is key to sustainable progress. Finally, celebrating small achievements like consecutive 'good runs' or consistent step counts encourages continued commitment. Using apps and platforms such as Strava or Life Time can help track and share progress, further motivating you on your fitness journey.
