Reflecting on this makes me appreciate the importance of digging past the 'official' histories. Whether through personal archives, footnotes, or oral histories passed down generations, reclaiming these lost legacies enriches not only our understanding but also our appreciation of diversity and resilience. I find it inspiring that ordinary people with simple tools—like a kitchen shovel or a slide rule—were architects of change.
