Hey everyone! So many of you have been curious about my two adorable pups, Lucy and Sundae, often asking, 'What dog is this?' Well, today I'm excited to share a little more about my fur babies and their unique personalities! It’s always a fun conversation, especially with mixed breeds, trying to pinpoint exactly where all that charm comes from. First up is Lucy, my stunning husky-like dog. She definitely has that striking look – the piercing eyes, the energetic demeanor, and that beautiful thick coat. We're pretty sure she's a husky mix, and it shows in her playful spirit and her love for the outdoors. If you've ever seen her out on a walk, you'd know! She's usually sporting her bright blue harness and a sturdy red leash, always ready to explore. Huskies are known for their intelligence and independence, and Lucy embodies both. She needs plenty of exercise to keep her happy and healthy, and I've learned so much about positive reinforcement training to channel her boundless energy. She's incredibly smart, sometimes a little too smart for her own good, but her loyalty and affection are unmatched. Then there's Sundae, my sweet, petite companion. She's a small fluffy dog with the most charming white, brown, and gray fur you've ever seen. While we suspect she's a yorkie blend, she definitely has that quintessential small dog charm – alert, affectionate, and full of character. Yorkies are often spirited and brave, and Sundae is no exception! Despite her size, she thinks she's just as big and tough as Lucy. She loves to cuddle up on the dark gray bed, looking up with those big, soulful eyes. Grooming is a bit of a routine with her beautiful coat, but it's totally worth it to keep her looking her best. Sundae might be small, but she fills our home with so much joy and laughter. It’s truly fascinating how different breeds come together in a mix, creating such unique individuals. For those of you wondering 'what dog is this' about your own furry friends, observing their physical traits is a great starting point – things like coat color, fur texture (like Sundae's fluffy white, brown, and gray fur), ear shape, tail carriage, and even their overall build. Then, consider their temperament and energy levels. Does your dog have high energy like a husky, or are they more of a lap dog like a yorkie? Of course, with mixed breeds, it's often a delightful surprise. You can also look into DNA tests if you're really curious, though for me, knowing their general heritage helps me understand their needs better. Owning Lucy and Sundae has been an incredible journey.
