Moving into a new apartment, especially one with a small bathroom, can feel like a blank canvas – and a challenge! I recently tackled my own tiny washroom, transforming it from a basic space into a functional and inviting oasis. My main goal for this 'redo bathroom' project was to maximize every inch, making it feel more spacious and organized without breaking the bank. If you're looking for 'bathroom set up' inspiration or ways to make your 'small bathroom' shine, here are some hacks I discovered. First, for any 'small bathroom' setup, vertical storage is your best friend. I invested in a two-tier under-sink organizer, which you can see in one of my photos. It's truly a game-changer! It perfectly holds rolled towels, cleaning sprays, and extra toilet paper, keeping the countertop clear and making the area feel less cluttered. Before, everything was just thrown under there, but now it's neat and accessible. Another smart idea to enhance your 'bathroom set up' is to use wall-mounted shelves or magnetic strips for smaller items like tweezers or hairpins. Every little bit of vertical space counts! One query that often comes up is 'toilet privacy wall ideas.' While I didn't add a physical wall, I found that thoughtful placement and smart accessories can create a sense of defined space and tidiness around the toilet area. For instance, my 2-in-1 toilet plunger & brush set is incredibly compact and discreetly stored, keeping unsightly items out of immediate view. A stylish shower curtain, like the Better Homes & Gardens striped one I chose, also plays a huge role. It acts as a soft visual divider, adding a pop of design while also drawing the eye upwards, which can make a small space feel taller. Keeping the area around the toilet clean and decluttered with a compact waste bin and a small plant can also contribute to a more private and pleasant feel. When you're doing a 'redo bathroom' on a budget, focus on impactful elements. Changing out just a shower curtain and adding a few key organizational pieces can make a world of difference. My black metal toothbrush rack, for example, keeps my Water Pik, toothpaste, and toothbrush neatly organized on the counter, preventing that messy look that instantly shrinks a small space. And let's not forget the ambiance! My sunset lamp, as seen in the pictures, casts a beautiful glow, instantly transforming the mood of the bathroom from sterile to cozy. It's amazing how lighting can elevate your 'bathroom setup.' Overall, my 'start over apartment' journey with the bathroom taught me that clever organization and thoughtful decor choices can turn even the smallest space into a dream. Don't be afraid to experiment with multi-functional items and personal touches. What are your favorite 'small bathroom' hacks or 'redo bathroom' tips?
