Do u guys think the ACNH lego balloon floats irl
As a fan of both Animal Crossing and LEGO, I was really curious whether the ACNH LEGO balloon could actually float in real life like it does in the game. The set, which includes 389 intricate pieces, captures the charming aesthetic of Isabelle's house and the iconic balloon from the game. However, after building it, I noticed that despite its detailed design, the balloon is mostly made from solid LEGO bricks and plates, which are quite dense and heavy compared to real balloons. In my experience, for a model to float, it needs to be either very light or contain some buoyant element like helium or air. Since LEGO bricks are plastic and relatively dense, the ACNH balloon cannot actually float. The small spherical pieces included in the set mainly serve aesthetic purposes or structural support, not buoyancy. That said, the set is excellent for display and imaginative play. It perfectly recreates the whimsical look of the in-game balloon and brings the Animal Crossing atmosphere to life. While it might not float, the quality of the build offers a rewarding experience, especially for fans of the game wanting a tangible keepsake. If you want something that truly floats, experimenting with lighter materials or adding helium balloons behind a LEGO structure could be a fun DIY project. But for pure LEGO construction, the physics of plastic bricks hold it firmly grounded, despite the visual charm.
