God Redeems The Lessons!!

There are moments I look back on and realize how much time I wasted worrying about what everyone else was doing, saying, or thinking. I let other people’s noise distract me from God’s voice. I replay situations that were full of drama, hurt, and confusion, and sometimes I wish I could go back, not to change the outcome, but to change my posture.

I wish I had trusted God sooner, learned to be still, known that silence doesn’t mean weakness.

There were battles I tried to fight with my own strength, my own words, and my own emotions; when God was already standing there saying, “I’ve got this.” If only I had just paused, prayed, or trusted God, He would’ve handled it far better than I ever could.

But here’s the grace I learned in all of that: God still fought for me. Even when I didn’t know how to be still, or I spoke too much, and when fear led instead of faith.

Now I’m learning to release control, to stop reacting, and that God doesn’t need my defense, but my trust.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

If you’re in a season where you wish you’d known this sooner, take heart. God redeems the lessons, the timing, and the growth. It’s never too late to choose stillness and let Him fight for you.

Like the phrase from the image, a "woman of God avoids drama" because she understands that time is precious and shouldn’t be wasted on trivial distractions. This lesson became real to me when I stopped trying to solve every conflict with my own strength and instead chose to pause, pray, and let God take the lead. It took practice to learn that silence doesn’t equal weakness; rather, it’s a sign of trust and faith. When life gets complicated, it’s tempting to react immediately with emotions or words, but that often leads to more confusion. I found that by embracing stillness, I could listen more clearly to God’s guidance and respond with calm confidence. The scripture from Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God," has been a comforting reminder that God is always in control, even when I feel overwhelmed. I’ve come to understand that releasing control doesn’t mean giving up. Instead, it means acknowledging that God fights the battles I cannot win alone. In practical terms, this has meant setting boundaries with negative influences and choosing faith over fear daily. Each time I choose trust, I experience growth and healing. It’s never too late to embrace this mindset and let God redeem past mistakes and losses. If you’re struggling with distractions or feeling burdened by fear, remember that your spiritual journey is unique, and God’s grace is always available. Taking time for stillness and prayer has helped me gain clarity and peace. I encourage you to try this practice, knowing that God’s redemption can transform your lessons into strength and renewed hope.
