Embracing Self Love after 30 💕
Self-love is an important aspect of personal well-being. Turning 30 can be seen as a milestone in a woman's life, and it's an opportunity to embrace self-love even more. 🩷
I’ll be 33 this year and I’m more in touch with myself and the things that make me happy than I ever have been. 💫
Prioritizing self-care and my health have been major for me so far in 2024. BEING SELFISH has been the hardest, yet most rewarding thing I’ve done for myself. Cutting out the outside noise of what the world tells me I should be doing, eating, reading, watching, etc & just doing things that make me feel good has been a game changer.
Here are a few things that have been working for me that may be helpful for you as well.
⭐️ Prioritize self-care: Make time for activities that bring you joy and help you recharge. This can include hobbies, exercise, meditation, or simply taking a relaxing bath.
⭐️ Celebrate your achievements: Reflect on your accomplishments and acknowledge the growth and progress you've made in your personal and professional life. Celebrate milestones, big or small, and be proud of yourself.
⭐️ Embrace your individuality: Embrace your unique qualities and strengths. Emphasize self-acceptance and focus on your own journey rather than comparing yourself to others. Celebrate your individuality and let go of societal expectations.
⭐️ Set boundaries: Learn to say no to activities or commitments that don't align with your values or drain your energy. Prioritize your needs and set boundaries to protect your well-being.
⭐️ Practice self-compassion: Be kind and understanding towards yourself. Treat yourself with the same compassion and understanding you would offer to a loved one. Practice positive self-talk and challenge negative self-perceptions.
⭐️ Cultivate meaningful relationships: Surround yourself with people who support and uplift you. Cultivate relationships that nourish your soul and bring positivity into your life.
⭐️ Focus on personal growth: Engage in activities that promote personal growth and self-improvement. This can include reading, attending workshops, learning new skills, pursuing a passion project, visiting a new coffee shop.
Self-love is an ongoing process that requires patience and practice. Embrace your journey and celebrate the woman you have become and continue to grow into. 💕

Hey everyone! Following up on my last post about embracing self-love after 30, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what it truly means to 'feel myself' in this new decade. For so long, I found myself constantly comparing my journey to others – what my friends were achieving, what social media told me I 'should' have by now. But turning 30 was a real turning point, a moment where I decided to tune out that noise and really listen to my own inner voice. One of the biggest shifts for me has been letting go of the need for external validation. It’s so easy to get caught up in how others perceive us, especially as we navigate careers, relationships, and maybe even family planning in our thirties. But true self-love means finding that unwavering confidence from within. I started by actively unfollowing accounts that made me feel less-than and consciously seeking out communities that uplifted and celebrated authenticity. It’s amazing how much lighter you feel when you stop trying to fit into someone else’s mold. Another crucial aspect of 'feeling myself' is understanding that self-care isn't just about bubble baths (though those are great!). It's about proactive choices that nourish your mind, body, and soul. For example, I used to dread exercise, but I found a dance class that makes me genuinely happy, and now it's a non-negotiable part of my week. It’s not about burning calories; it’s about moving my body in a way that feels joyful and empowering. Similarly, truly setting boundaries with my time and energy, even with loved ones, has been a game-changer. It felt 'selfish' at first, but I realized that protecting my peace allows me to show up as a better, more present person in every aspect of my life. I've also learned to celebrate the small victories. It’s not always about grand achievements. Sometimes, 'feeling myself' is simply about enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in the morning, successfully tackling a challenging project at work, or having a heartfelt conversation with a friend. These little moments add up and build a strong foundation of self-worth and appreciation for my own unique path. If you're also on this journey, remember it's not a destination but an ongoing process. There will be days when self-doubt creeps in, but the key is to acknowledge it, practice self-compassion, and gently guide yourself back to your core. Your 30s can be an incredibly empowering time for self-discovery and growth. You've got this! Let's continue to feel ourselves, loudly and proudly. ✨
Beautiful 🥰
