Hidden Brunch Garden Near NYU☕️Taro OUTRO 💜

If you’re ever near Union Square (or NYU), Outro NYC is such a solid spot for a casual brunch — spacious seating, chill vibe, and even a cute little back garden patio. Perfect for lingering over coffee or a long catch-up with friends.

The menu is a mix of Western & Asian-inspired dishes — from waffles and toasts to noodles, rice bowls, and more. Bonus points for QR code ordering right at the table (super convenient 💡).

Here’s what we tried:

🧇 Strawberry Tiramisu Waffle

Fluffy waffles topped with strawberries and a scoop of ice cream — definitely eat them together for full effect. Didn’t quite get the tiramisu flavor, but still a sweet treat!

🍝 Bacon Pesto Pasta

Don’t let the simple look fool you — this was so flavorful. Creamy, garlicky pesto with crispy bacon bits. Comfort food, done right.

🍚 Una·Ben (Unagi Rice Bowl)

Grilled eel over brown rice with tamago (Japanese omelet), pickled daikon & cucumber. A little on the safe side flavor-wise, but still satisfying.

🥤 Taro OUTRO (Taro Cold Brew)

Their signature drink — a thick, creamy taro foam over cold brew coffee. The light yammy sweetness and coffee bitterness actually balance really well!
