When You Don’t Want to Get Up

I really didn’t want to get up this morning.

Not gonna lie—everything felt heavy, and the urge to just give up was loud.

But that’s not really an option. (It rarely is.)

So I got up.

Stumbled around.

Grumpy.

Not at all sunshine and roses.

Then I looked out the window…

And saw the most beautiful view.

The dogwood in bloom.

The grass impossibly green.

The morning sun spilling in, soft and golden.

It felt like the world wrapped me in a quiet hug.

So here’s to hoping you find your proverbial hug on the hard days.

That one glimmer—the tiniest spark—when you think the light is gone.

You’re not alone.

With love,

Tabby

Nature often provides the perfect respite, helping to soothe the soul and rekindle hope. Whether it's taking a moment to appreciate blooming flowers or the gentle sunlight streaming through your window, these small gifts from nature can uplift your spirits. Research shows that spending time outdoors can significantly enhance mental well-being, reducing stress and anxiety. Engaging with your environment—like tending to a garden or simply walking in a park—can lead to mindfulness, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and the world around you. This connection can form a vital part of your healing journey. Moreover, sharing your experiences with others can foster a sense of community and support. Discussing your feelings of heaviness and gloom can resonate with many who face similar trials. You're reminded that you are not alone in your struggles. Encouragement often comes from those who understand, and connecting with others can lead to mutual growth and healing. As you move through your day, remember the importance of embracing even the smallest glimmers of hope. Allow the nature around you to comfort you and remind you that each day is a new opportunity for joy and connection.
