For me, recently, that's been the new Illusive emote. I personally don't like this one at all, and it's left me wondering what makes a Fortnite emote truly 'good' versus one that just doesn't quite land. From my perspective, a great Fortnite emote usually has a few key ingredients: a catchy tune (or at least a decent sound design), smooth and unique animations, and sometimes, a connection to a popular trend or iconic moment. When it comes to the Illusive emote, I felt like it missed the mark on several of these. Sometimes it's the music, or lack thereof, that can really make an emote flop. I've heard comments like 'CAN'T PLAY THE SONG BECAUSE' and honestly, if an emote's audio isn't hitting right, it just doesn't feel worth the V-BUCKS. The animation might be okay, but if the overall vibe is off, it’s just horrible in my opinion. It makes me think about other emotes, like the Skyward emote. While I haven't personally used it extensively, I've heard some positive buzz about its unique animation or theme. It just goes to show how varied player preferences are! Some emotes instantly become classics, while others, unfortunately, land flat. It’s fascinating how the community reacts to each new release. Some people rave about the Icon Series emotes, while others prefer the simple, original ones. And let’s not forget how important it is that these items work across different modes now – whether you're in Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, or even enjoying LEGO® Fortnite Odyssey or Brick Life, you want your emote to feel right. I really value your opinion on this, and I’d love to hear what you guys think in the comments. Am I being too harsh, or do you agree that the Illusive emote isn't quite up to par? What are your favorite new emotes, and what makes them stand out? What makes an emote a must-have for your locker? It's always interesting to see different perspectives on what makes an item worth those hard-earned V-Bucks. Let's keep the conversation positive and share our thoughts!
