As we turn the page to the next chapter, I’m reminded that even though it’s not a goodbye, saying goodbye is never easy. PCS (Permanent Change of Station) is a part of our lives, a constant in the world we live in—but that doesn’t make it any easier.
There’s a strange blend of emotions: excitement for the new opportunities ahead, but also a bittersweet sense of leaving behind the people, places, and memories that have become such a big part of who we are. It’s a reminder that change is constant, and while the adventure is always calling, it’s hard not to pause and reflect on what we’re leaving behind.
We know that this is just another chapter in a story that’s always evolving. It’s a part of the journey, but that doesn’t mean we have to love the part where we say “see you later.”
