Attempting Zodiac Academy

... Read moreIt’s official: I’ve finally started my Zodiac Academy adventure, kicking it off with *Ruthless Fae*! You know that feeling when you pick up a book and just know it's going to consume your life? That's me right now. My Kindle (the one with the cool Ruthless Fae cover showing the lion and zodiac signs, by the way!) hasn’t left my side, much to the amusement of my black dog who often naps on my favorite crocheted blanket nearby while I read. One of the first things that struck me about this series, even just starting with *Ruthless Fae*, is the incredible "enchanting world academia aesthetics." It's not just a backdrop; it's a character in itself! The descriptions of Solaria, the different houses, and the magical lessons paint such a vivid picture. I'm picturing grand, ancient halls, secret passages, and a sky full of stars. It's the kind of dark academia vibe mixed with high fantasy that I just can't get enough of. I can totally see why "conversationswithsamantha" and others are so obsessed with this world. It’s got that allure that makes you want to pack your bags and move to Solaria, even with all the danger! And speaking of danger, let's talk about the *Zodiac Academy characters*. Wow. From the moment I met Darcy and Tory, I knew I was in for a wild ride. But it’s the male characters that really have me intrigued. Seth, for instance! I’ve seen so many discussions about "Seth on the moon Zodiac Academy" and now I kinda get it. He’s got this mysterious aura, and I’m just waiting for his full story to unfold. Then there’s Lance Orion. The queries about "Lance Orion Zodiac Academy fan art" make perfect sense because he’s just so compelling! I'm trying to decide if I love him or want to shake him sometimes, but that's the sign of a truly captivating character, right? The authors, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, really know how to craft complex personalities. Of course, a big question buzzing around is "does Zodiac Academy have romance?" and what about the "Zodiac Academy couples"? Oh, it absolutely does! Even early on in *Ruthless Fae*, you can feel the tension, the sparks flying, and the anticipation building. It’s definitely not a straightforward, fluffy romance, which is what I love. It’s dark, angsty, and complicated – exactly what you'd expect from a bully romance. I’m constantly guessing who will end up with whom, and the dynamics between the characters are just *chef's kiss*. The push and pull, the hidden vulnerabilities, the fierce loyalties – it’s all there. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for scenes that might inspire some "Zodiac Academy fan art" myself! This series is a commitment, but one I'm already thrilled to be making. If you're into complex characters, a dark academia setting with a magical twist, and romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then Zodiac Academy might just be your next obsession. I’m so excited to continue my journey through Solaria and uncover all its secrets, especially in Ruthless Fae and beyond. Wish me luck with these Fae!
