Giving my dirty dog a bath😭
Almost put another hole in the wall😭🐾 #dogbath #greatdane #dogmom #dogmomlife #dogmomsoflemon8
Giving your dog a bath can quickly turn into an adventure, especially when dealing with a large breed like a Great Dane. I remember one of my recent bath times almost causing me to put a hole in the wall, which was a stressful yet funny moment. Great Danes are known for their size and strength, so managing bath time requires patience and some tried-and-true techniques. Firstly, I always prepare the bathing area with everything I need within arm’s reach — shampoo, towels, and treats. It's essential to keep the dog calm and distracted, so using treats to reward good behavior really helps. I also make sure the water temperature is just right; lukewarm water soothes them and helps prevent any shock. Bathing a dirty dog means dealing with mud and grime, which can be challenging with their thick coat. I usually do a pre-rinse to loosen dirt before applying shampoo. Then I gently scrub, taking care around sensitive areas. Even though it's a demanding task, seeing my dog all clean and happy afterward makes it worthwhile. For fellow dog moms out there, I recommend securing your bathroom area as best as you can to avoid any accidental damage during those moments when your dog gets restless. Additionally, patience is key — sometimes it’s a process of trial and error to find what methods work best for your specific dog. Overall, bath time with my Great Dane is a bonding experience filled with small challenges and lots of love, reminding me why being a dog mom is such a rewarding journey.
