This isn't just any shield; the black color symbolizes Nigeria's fertile soil, highlighting the nation's agricultural richness and potential. Cutting across it is a distinctive white 'Y' shape, which brilliantly represents the two major rivers of Nigeria – the River Niger and the River Benue – meeting and flowing together.
