26’ Cleanse
My 2026 has been… ehh.
I’m going through postpartum which has me up and down. Lately mostly up, then today I hit a wall. I’m a marketing ambassador for my Bar so I make content lol and well it has gone over well with my postpartum body. I have plenty of confidence but still those body shaming comments suck!
Recently, I saw a TikTok that said “ITS THE PHONES YALL” lol why we feel anxious and overwhelmed. I felt that! So I figured let’s cleanse! I added an app that keeps my heavy duty social media apps locked away for however long I want. No IG, No TikTok, No Facebook. I will post my work content from my laptop so I don’t doom scroll and put more energy into my household. I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t up until 2am scrolling after my kids and husband go to bed or checked my phone mid conversation.
To say the least I need to refocus my energy else where. Focus on my health, my family and my overall well being. Less time on my phone.
Start with 30 days, then create a new life style. Currently on a clean eating kick with my man 🥰 .
Wish me Luck! 🍀
Oh! Here are some apps I plan on using to count my calories, stay productive and lock up those apps. 🙏🏾
Navigating postpartum life can be both exhilarating and exhausting, especially when combined with the pressures of daily responsibilities and social media exposure. From my experience, taking a deliberate break from apps like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook can significantly improve mental clarity and emotional balance. Using app-locking tools limits temptation and helps me resist the urge to doom scroll late into the night, which previously left me feeling drained and anxious. This digital detox pairs perfectly with a commitment to clean eating—a lifestyle choice that not only nurtures my physical health but also supports my mental well-being. Sharing this clean eating journey with my partner adds motivation and accountability, making the process more enjoyable and sustainable. The benefits of reducing phone usage extend beyond just feeling less overwhelmed. Focusing on family interactions without phone interruptions creates deeper connections and a more supportive home environment. Scheduling work-related social media posts from my laptop also helps maintain professionalism while avoiding the distractions and negative impacts of casual scrolling on my phone. Apps that track calories and productivity have become essential in this lifestyle shift, providing structure and measurable progress without the usual social media noise. This structured approach has helped me regain confidence despite postpartum body challenges and external negativity like body shaming comments. If you’re feeling drained by constant connectivity and need a reset, I highly recommend starting with a 30-day cleanse. It’s a powerful way to reclaim your focus, boost your mental health, and build a nourishing routine. Over time, this can develop into a new lifestyle that prioritizes well-being, presence, and purposeful use of technology.
