「ホテルウッドって結局どんな香り？何に似てる？」が一番気になって、私も買う前にかなり検索しました。結論から言うと、ホテルウッドは“ウッディ系の清潔感”が中心で、甘さは控えめ。いわゆる高級ホテルのロビーで感じる、木の温かみ＋ふんわり石けんっぽい清潔感が合わさった雰囲気です。香水で言うと、ガツンと香るタイプというより「空間の空気が上質になる」寄り。 「似てる香り」で例えるなら、完全一致は難しいけど、系統としては“サンダルウッド・シダーウッド系のルームフレグランス”や、“ムスクが強すぎないホテルライクな柔軟剤”に近いと思いました。もし普段、甘いバニラ系やフルーツ系が好きだとホテルウッドは大人っぽく感じるはず。逆に、清潔感・上品さ・インテリアになじむ香りが好きな人にはかなり刺さります。 あと、ヘトラスを選ぶときに便利なのが「香り一覧」を“場所”で決める方法。私の体感では、玄関や廊下みたいに通過する場所はホテルウッドみたいなウッディ×クリーンが一番失敗しにくいです。リビングは好みが出やすいので、来客が多いなら甘さ控えめの万人受け系、ひとり時間重視ならフローラルや少し甘めでもOK。お手洗いは、狭い空間だと香りがこもるので、リードを少なめ（2〜3本）から試すと安心でした。 大容量（500mlクラス）ディフューザーのコツもひとつ。最初からリードを全部挿すと強く香りすぎることがあるので、私は「まず半分→翌日足す」がおすすめ。香りが弱いと感じたら、リードを増やす以外に“リードを上下ひっくり返す”と一気に広がります（ただしやりすぎると濃くなるので注意）。 最後に、ホテルウッドは見た目もダークブラウンボトル×ローズゴールドキャップで、置くだけでホテルっぽい雰囲気が作れました。香り選びで迷ったら、まずはホテルウッドを基準にして、香り一覧から「もう少し甘め」「もっと爽やか」みたいに好みを寄せていくと選びやすいと思います。
