I’m Tamara, a proud mom of five amazing boys who keep me on my toes every single day. Life is beautifully chaotic, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Over the years, I’ve learned to juggle motherhood, personal growth, and my own health journey—one step at a time.
As someone with asthma, running was something I never imagined myself doing. But here I am, challenging my limits and learning to run despite the struggles. Every day I lace up my shoes, I’m reminded that it’s not about how fast or far I go, but about proving to myself that I can do hard things.
I’ve always been a bit of a health nerd, constantly researching and experimenting with ways to live a healthier, more balanced life. I’ve faced ups and downs with my weight, body image, and mindset, but I’ve learned that consistency and self-compassion are the keys to lasting change.
That’s why I wrote *I Am Enough Because I Say I Am!*—a book born out of my own journey of self-discovery and learning to embrace who I am, no matter where I am on the path. It’s a reminder that we all have the power to define our own worth, and I’m on a mission to help others realize that too.
So, here I am, sharing my journey, my wins, my struggles, and everything in between. If I can inspire even one person to keep going, then every step is worth it.
It’s truly a journey being a mom to five incredible boys, and I know many of you are curious about the beautiful chaos of our lives! While I don't have twins, each of my five sons brings his own unique energy and personality to our home, making every day an adventure. Sometimes it feels like orchestrating a small army, but the laughter and love outweigh everything. One of the biggest 'challenges' I've embraced on this parenting journey, beyond just the daily routines, is finding ways to give each boy individual attention while still fostering a strong family unit. It’s an art form, really! From navigating sibling squabbles to cheering them on in their various activities, I’ve learned that consistency and a sprinkle of humor are my best tools. Just like with my running, where I put one foot in front of the other despite my asthma, I tackle each parenting hurdle with the mindset that 'I can do hard things.' This applies to everything from managing the household budget with five growing appetites to ensuring everyone feels heard and valued. I often get asked how I manage it all, and honestly, a huge part of it is connecting with other moms. While I haven't done a 'mom swap pact' in the traditional sense, the support system I’ve built with other parents is invaluable. We share tips, vent frustrations, and celebrate wins – it’s a vital 'village' that helps me stay grounded and reminds me I’m not alone. It’s this shared experience that fuels my desire to inspire others through my own story. For any busy mom out there, whether you have one child or five, here are a few things I’ve learned that have made a world of difference: Embrace the Imperfect: My house isn't always spotless, and our schedule is rarely perfect. That's okay! Focus on connection and joy over perfection. Prioritize Your Health: As an asthmatic learning to run, I know firsthand how important it is to take care of yourself. Even small steps, like a quick walk or a few minutes of quiet time, can make a huge impact. I've even snuck in a quick selfie in my car, red baseball cap on, just to capture a moment of peace! Communicate, Communicate, Communicate: With so many personalities under one roof, clear communication is key. We talk openly about feelings, expectations, and even the division of chores (as much as possible!). Find Your 'I Am Enough' Moment: This is the core message of my book. There will be days when you feel overwhelmed, but remind yourself of your worth. You are doing an amazing job. Seek Out Your Village: Don't be afraid to lean on friends, family, or even online communities. Sharing your parenting story, both the highs and lows, can be incredibly empowering. My journey as a mom of five boys, a health enthusiast, and an author has taught me that life is about growing, learning, and continually proving to yourself what you’re capable of. I hope my experiences offer a little bit of encouragement and a reminder that you've got this!
