Back in the gym 🌸after sprain knee injury 🫶

I sprain my knee back in May . Today I decided to not allow this knee to stop me from my goals. Creating healthy habits for myself. It was so hard gaining motivation to get back in the gym. But today I said a workout is a must and it is non negotiable ❤️. I will ice 🧊 the knee after the workout. I DID JUST THAT! If anyone can send me any exercises for my knee or anything that I can do to keep my goals in tact please let me know!! #Lemon8Diary #workout 🏋️ #gymworkout #Fitness #physical therapy

One essential aspect of managing a sprained knee is incorporating the right rehabilitation exercises that improve strength, flexibility, and stability without causing further injury. Common recommended exercises include gentle range-of-motion activities, quadriceps sets, hamstring curls, and straight leg raises that can be gradually intensified as healing progresses. It's also important to create healthy habits that support recovery, such as consistent icing to reduce swelling and inflammation after workouts. Elevating the knee and using compression can aid in faster healing and pain relief. Consulting with a physical therapist can provide personalized exercise plans tailored to your injury level and fitness goals. Motivation plays a crucial role in returning to the gym after injury. Setting realistic and non-negotiable workout commitments helps maintain discipline while allowing the body time to heal properly. Joining supportive communities like #Lemon8Diary or fitness forums can also provide encouragement and shared tips from others facing similar challenges.
