Good morning. Every day we are surrounded by voices. The voice of fear, doubt, and even our own emotions can become so loud that they drown out the gentle voice of the Lord. Jesus reminds us in John 10 that His sheep know His voice. This is not because they are perfect, but because they have spent time with the Shepherd. You too can begin to recognize God's voice as you consistently spend time in His presence through prayer, His Word, worship, and quiet moments of listening. Sometimes we ask God to speak louder, but perhaps He is inviting us to become quieter. The more we fill our hearts with Scripture and spend intentional time with Him, the easier it becomes to recognize His direction. His voice may not always come in dramatic ways, but it is always faithful to guide those who seek Him. Today, ask yourself: When God speaks, do I recognize His voice, or have I become more familiar with the voices of the world than the voice of my Shepherd?
Stay inspired, encouraged, and blessed.
