Sometimes we ask God to speak louder, but perhaps He is inviting us to become quieter. The more we fill our hearts with Scripture and spend intentional time with Him, the easier it becomes to recognize His direction. His voice may not always come in dramatic ways, but it is always faithful to guide those who seek Him. Today, ask yourself: When God speaks, do I recognize His voice, or have I become more familiar with the voices of the world than the voice of my Shepherd?

Sometimes, the voice of God isn’t dramatic or booming but comes as a quiet nudge or a sense of peace in decisions. Over time, this patient listening builds trust and clarity. If you find yourself overwhelmed by external voices—fear, doubt, or worldly distractions—I encourage you to slow down and cultivate a habit of being still before God. It’s a process that requires consistency, but the peace and direction that come from recognizing the Shepherd’s voice are deeply worth it. Remember, His sheep know His voice because they spend time with the Shepherd, not because they are without flaws. This journey of listening and responding to God’s voice is an ongoing one, inviting us each day to tune our hearts closer to Him.
