Very scary! Most recently, I was warned by a friend at the hotel that there is a very heavy outbreak. Some crooks or foreigners secretly put a "miniature camera" in the air conditioner box on the wall, confused, and it is a point that people never check in their hotel rooms.

Preliminary check method
✅ Note the small hole: See if there is a hole that should not exist on the box or if there is a hole that looks like a reflective lens inside.
✅ Use a flashlight: Turn off the lights in the room completely dark and use a flashlight from your phone to the air box. If there is a hidden camera lens, it will reflect light in small dots (mostly blue or purple).
✅ Check Unusual Appliances: If the air box has pry marks, tape marks, or a new look in the wrong ear from another piece of furniture, be careful.
It's the ugliest thing to violate privacy like this. Anyone who has a plan to hang out, sleep in a hotel, or stay AirBnB, remember to check this spot. It's better to fix it!

จากประสบการณ์ตรง เมื่อตอนไปพักโรงแรมครั้งล่าสุด ผมก็ใช้วิธีเช็คกล่องตั้งอุณหภูมิแอร์ตามที่แนะนำมาอย่างเคร่งครัด ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นจุดที่เรามักมองข้ามกันมากที่สุด เพราะดีไซน์กล่องมักสะอาดและเรียบร้อยจนเราคิดไม่ถึงว่าจะมีการใส่กล้องแอบถ่ายไว้ ในห้องที่เป็นส่วนตัวสุดๆ ของเรา ขั้นตอนที่ผมทำคือหลังจากเข้าห้องพักปิดไฟให้มืดสนิท จากนั้นใช้ไฟฉายมือถือส่องไปที่กล่องแอร์อย่างช้าๆ และต้องสังเกตรอบๆ ให้นานหน่อย เมื่อแสงไฟสะท้อนขึ้นเป็นจุดเล็กๆ สีฟ้าหรือม่วงก็น่าจะเป็นเลนส์กล้องจริงๆ แนะนำให้ตรวจสอบรอยแงะหรือเทปกาวที่ผิวกล่องอย่างละเอียดด้วย เพราะถ้ามีรอยนี่แหละคือสัญญาณเตือนสำคัญ นอกจากนี้ยังควรสำรวจเฟอร์นิเจอร์อื่นในห้อง เช่น หัวเตียง โต๊ะข้างเตียง หรือแม้แต่ที่ชาร์จโทรศัพท์ ว่ามีอุปกรณ์แปลกปลอมที่ไม่น่าจะเป็นของโรงแรมติดตั้งอยู่หรือไม่ เพราะมิจฉาชีพสมัยนี้หากล้องเล็กๆ ได้ทุกที่เลยจริงๆ สำหรับคนที่จองผ่าน Airbnb หรือลักษณะที่พักแบบส่วนตัว ผมแนะนำให้พูดคุยกับเจ้าของบ้านก่อนเข้าพักเกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัยด้วย และถ้าเป็นไปได้ ให้เลือกที่พักที่มีรีวิวดีและมีความน่าเชื่อถือสูง สุดท้ายนี้ อยากฝากว่าแม้การเช็คกล้องจิ๋วจะฟังดูน่ากลัวแต่การป้องกันไว้ก่อนเป็นสิ่งที่ดีที่สุด และทำให้เราสามารถพักผ่อนได้อย่างสบายใจ ไม่ต้องกังวลเรื่องความเป็นส่วนตัวอีกต่อไป ผู้ที่รักการเดินทางและชอบพักโรงแรมควรมีความตระหนักรู้ด้านนี้เพื่อรักษาความปลอดภัยของตัวเองนะครับ!
