Share a trip to Doi Mae Slong in the Rain, sip tea, watch the chilly mountain view without driving.

Share a trip in the rainy season, sip fragrant tea, hazy view at Doi Mae Slong, Chiang Rai, alone, do not drive, can travel. This trip does not focus on traveling, but on leisure, slow life. We travel early in May, early in the rainy season, not heavy rain, hazy, cool weather, not hot.

DAY 1:

🚗 traveled to Doi Mae Long, Chiang Rai.

✈️ Mae Fah Luang Airport

This trip, we reserve a ticket from Don Muang-Chiang Rai to Chiang Rai about 10: 00. Call grab to Chiang Rai 1, about 9 km, 20 minutes journey, about 150 baht car cost.

🗣️ more suggestions: The return leg can hitchhike a van / bus / two rows to Chiang Rai on the opposite side. The car will pass through this line both to and from. People will wait for a lot of duties.

🚎 Nun Chan Market. Mae Chan

We will arrive at around 11: 30 a.m., have lunch, walk through the market, the Mae Chan-Mae Slong minibus, the last 1: 00 p.m., the car cost 150 baht, and the car will park for five minutes before going to Doi Mae Slong, about an hour and 15 minutes.

The minibus will be at the end of the line at this hotel until about 14.25 pm, not far from 7-11. If the driver sends the accommodation, the charge is 50 baht. As we walk, our accommodation is not far ~ 700 m.

We reserve accommodation through the Agoda app. Pay the same price for walking-in standard G floor (3 floors can be rooftop) 750 baht per night. We stay in G1 at the top of the corner. The view is beautiful. We can see the relics on the hill. There are a few trees. The next room may cover a lot. The room is large, clean, with one set of tea and free breakfast.

Satisfaction: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A little broken, the room won't be soundproof. During a lot of insects, the night has to turn off the balcony lights, turn off the insect curtain.

DAY 2: Introducing walking places

The ascent is not far from 7-11. Find a sign to the Santiciri Temple. Walk along the path and see the ascent sign to the top of the mountain.

It was raining, so there was a heavy fog covering the mountains. I couldn't see the view below, but I got Phil in the winter. The fog was cool.

🗣️ Warning: No entry fee. We were tricked by a man who collected the 40 ฿ticket, but there was no ticket for us. We went alone and there was no one, so we gave it away and he walked away. The woman went alone. Be careful.

🏞️ Doi Mae Slong Scenic Area is near the visitor center, there is a small tent yard with a playground, exercise machine, beautiful mountain view, overlooking Wang Pudtan tea plantation.

There are many other places, but far away we didn't go.

DAY 3: RETURN

We checked out and walked to the Sin Sa School around 11: 00. We arrived at Mae Chan 12.15: 00. We waited for the car at the front pavilion until half an hour. There was a minibus coming. The car went to the airport 50 ฿each. We asked him if he entered the airport. He gave us a ride in front of the car 150 ¢, which was cheaper than the B.C. and called Grab, so we agreed, but the car dropped by to the airport before going to B.C.

🗣️ further recommend:

1. There is a van to Chiang Rai, there is a pass, but there may be 1-2 space to try to wave. Wait in the front of the market, people will be less than in front of the district. The bus may have an evening pass.

2. Mae Chan's minibus enters the B.C. If the driver is less, the driver may collect more than 50 ฿each. Divided by each other.

3. There are few car cycles from Mae Chan to Chiang Rai. Reserve the flight back for a little time. The grab in downtown Chiang Rai is easy to call.
