Flower Ice Mold 🧊

Ever since I stumbled upon the idea of flower ice cubes, my drink game has been completely transformed! You can often find edible flowers at specialty grocery stores or farmers' markets. Once you have your flowers, gently wash them and pat them dry. Next, for that crystal-clear ice look, I have a little secret: use distilled or pre-boiled and cooled water. Boiling the water twice helps remove impurities and air bubbles, resulting in clearer ice, just like the clear liquid you see in my pictures. This makes the flowers really pop! Now for the fun part: arranging them in your ice mold. I use a silicone flower ice mold, which helps create those perfect shapes. Place a single flower or a few petals into each cavity. You can experiment with different arrangements to see what you like best. Then, slowly pour the cooled, boiled water over the flowers, making sure they are fully submerged. Don't overfill the mold, or they'll fuse together. Pop the mold into the freezer and let them solidify completely. Depending on your freezer and the size of your molds, this can take a few hours. Once they're frozen solid, carefully remove your gorgeous flower ice cubes. I love using these in everything from sparkling water and homemade lemonade to iced tea and even cocktails.
