how lucky am i
I feel so lucky and happy
Lately, I've just been reflecting on how incredibly lucky and happy I feel, and I wanted to share a bit about what's been filling my cup! It’s not always about grand gestures or big events, but truly about appreciating the little things that make life so special and vibrant. Every day brings a chance to find joy, and when you open yourself up to it, those moments really start to stack up. One of the biggest sources of joy for me is definitely my friends. There’s nothing quite like gathering with my besties, whether we’re just chatting outdoors in front of a familiar brick building, sharing laughs, or striking a pose. You know those days when you and your smiling young women squad are just radiating happiness? That’s us! We might be rocking a cozy red hoodie or a favorite gray 'NEBRASKA' sweatshirt and ripped jeans – it doesn’t matter what we’re wearing, as long as we’re together. Those moments of genuine connection, shared smiles, and unfiltered fun are pure gold, and they constantly remind me how fortunate I am to have such wonderful people in my life. They truly add so much brightness to my world. Then there are those days when nature just calls, and it’s impossible not to feel a surge of happiness. Recently, I found myself exploring a beautiful pumpkin patch and flower farm under a clear blue sky. Seeing all the colorful potted mums, the charming truck and trailer laden with pumpkins, and the stunning autumn trees in the background was just breathtaking. There’s something so calming and joyful about being surrounded by such natural beauty and fresh air. I even got to pick some gorgeous pink and red flowers, holding my bucket proudly in a field with a rustic white barn in the distance – it felt like a scene from a dream! It’s these simple outings that truly refresh my spirit and make me feel so connected to the world around me. Even quieter moments bring a lot of peace and a sense of being fortunate. Sometimes, it’s just me, enjoying an iced beverage in a clear cup at a cafe, resting my chin on my hand, and taking a moment to simply be present. These are the times when I really reflect on all the good things, big and small, that make up my life. From the laughter with friends to the quiet beauty of a flower farm, it all adds up to this amazing feeling of contentment. If you're wondering how to cultivate more of this 'lucky and happy' feeling in your own life, I've found a few things really help. First, actively practice gratitude – take a few minutes each day to think about what you're truly thankful for, no matter how small. Second, make dedicated time for meaningful connections with friends and family; those bonds are invaluable. Third, make an effort to get outdoors! Even a short walk or a visit to a local park can do wonders for your mood. And finally, allow yourself those quiet moments of reflection, even if it's just with a drink in your hand. It's amazing how much joy and good fortune you can find when you start looking for it. Wishing you all many fortunate and happy moments too!
