Nighttime routine

Start by establishing a consistent bedtime, ideally going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. This helps regulate your body’s internal clock. Consider creating a pre-sleep ritual such as reading, meditating, or taking a warm bath, which signals to your body that it’s time to wind down. It’s also essential to limit screen time in the hour leading up to bedtime. The blue light emitted by phones, tablets, and televisions can interfere with the production of melatonin, making it harder to fall asleep. Instead, opt for relaxing activities like journaling or listening to soothing music. Additionally, maintaining a sleep-conducive environment is crucial. Ensure your bedroom is dark, cool, and quiet to promote restful sleep. Using blackout curtains and white noise machines can significantly enhance your sleep environment. Lastly, reflect on your daytime habits. Regular physical activity, exposure to natural light, and a balanced diet can significantly influence your sleep quality. Be mindful of your caffeine and alcohol intake, particularly in the hours leading up to bedtime, as these substances can negatively impact your ability to fall and stay asleep. By making these adjustments to your nighttime routine, you can enhance your sleep quality and overall well-being.

I would recommend cutting out screen time an hour before bed, white noise, make sure your room is dark, and taking melatonin!

I also have insomnia and I have many tips for you! I suggest not eating like two hours before you go to bed, drink some cold water before sleeping, avoid using your phone before you got to sleep, yoga is also relaxing for some people! If none of this works melatonin also helps me relax! 🥰
