When I first started tackling Steel Path, I needed a reliable melee that could handle armored units and still clear crowds. That's when I really dug into optimizing Sun & Moon, and trust me, it pays off! First, let's talk about the core of this build. You absolutely want to maximize your critical chance and critical damage. That's where Sacrificial Steel and Sacrificial Pressure come into play. They give you a massive boost, especially when paired with the weapon's innate critical stats. For raw damage, Primed Pressure Point (or Galvanized Steel if you prefer Condition Overload setups for status effects) is a must-have. I personally lean towards Primed Pressure for consistency, but if you're constantly applying status, Galvanized Steel can be insane. To make sure you're hitting hard and fast, Primed Fury is essential for attack speed. This isn't just about faster swings; it means more status procs and quicker combo generation. Speaking of status, for Steel Path, Corrosive Damage is king against Grineer armor. I combine Vicious Frost with another elemental mod (like Shocking Touch for Corrosive) to achieve that powerful corrosive status. The OCR even highlighted 'Corrosive Damage on Melee strikes', and that's exactly what we're aiming for! Now, for survivability and utility. Healing Return is my secret weapon; it keeps me topped up on health with consistent melee attacks, which is crucial when enemies hit hard. And for those satisfying heavy attacks, I use Amalgam Organ Shatter or True Punishment to perform faster Heavy Attacks and improve their efficiency. This allows for quick burst damage, especially against tougher targets. The goal is to build up those MELEE COMBOS quickly and unleash devastating heavy attacks. The 'MELEE EXPOSURE' stat on some builds is fantastic for enhancing overall melee performance, ensuring your attacks land where they count. Many of you also asked about getting your hands on this weapon! The Sun & Moon isn't a traditional drop. You acquire it through the Duviri Paradox, by finding Lyric and Bridge fragments during your runs. It's an exploration-based acquisition, often requiring you to complete specific objectives or explore certain areas within Duviri. It's part of the weapon you get from the Drifter when you complete the main Duviri questline (The Duviri Paradox). So keep an eye out for those fragments – they're key to unlocking this powerful melee! This build transforms the Sun & Moon into an absolute Steel Path monster. Experiment with your flex slots, but these core mods will give you an incredible foundation. Let me know if you try it out and what your results are in the comments!
