My Favorite Nintendo Switch Games
I am not necessarily a “hardcore gamer” so these are really the only games I play other than the “iconic switch games” like Mario that I will play once in a while. Animal Crossing has been my favorite switch game since it first came out. It’s not too easy or too hard. It’s not one of those games you can just sit down and play for 6 hours once (at least in the beginning 😂) and it’s one of those games you have to come back to every day. You’re always going to be excited for what’s going on at your island that day and you can build or change your island to whatever you want. There’s guides on the internet and in the app store to help you in the game. Definitely the most fun game i’ve ever played! Super Kirby Clash is the best free game in the eshop (imo). I love Super Kirby Clash because it’s still got all the cute and fun Kirby features but it’s free. It’s definitely similar to super smash bros but the Kirby lore is included within the game. Super fun!

So, you've heard about Super Kirby Clash and might be wondering if it's worth your time, especially since it's free. I totally get it! When I first downloaded it from the eShop, I wasn't expecting much, but it really surprised me. It's a fantastic entry point if you're curious about the Kirby universe but don't want to commit to a full-price game right away. Think of it as a super fun 'free trial' that offers a lot more than just a demo! What I really love about Super Kirby Clash is its pick-up-and-play nature. It’s perfect for those shorter gaming sessions when you just want some quick fun without a huge commitment. The gameplay is straightforward: you team up with other Kirbys (controlled by AI or other players if you go online) to defeat bosses. Each Kirby has a different "Hero Role" – like Sword Hero, Hammer Lord, Beam Mage, or Doctor Healmore – which adds a nice strategic layer. I usually gravitate towards the Hammer Lord because smashing enemies feels so satisfying, but experimenting with different roles and upgrading their gear is part of the charm. Many people, myself included, notice its similarities to Super Smash Bros. While it’s not a fighting game in the same vein, the boss battles have a certain arena-style intensity that can feel familiar. Plus, it's packed with that signature cute and fun Kirby aesthetic, which is always a win in my book! The vibrant colors and adorable character designs make every battle a joy. Now, I mentioned in my main post that it can get a bit boring over time. And that's true if you play it non-stop in solo mode. However, I found that playing with friends, even just occasionally, breathes new life into it. Strategizing with real people makes the boss fights much more engaging. Also, focusing on completing all the quests and collecting Gem Apples to unlock new gear and upgrades keeps the progression feeling fresh. There are tons of challenges to work through, and seeing your Kirbys get stronger is a great motivator. If you're looking for a free game that offers solid action, cute characters, and a taste of the Kirby world, Super Kirby Clash is definitely worth downloading. It’s not overly difficult, making it accessible for casual gamers, but it still offers enough challenge to feel rewarding. Give it a try; you might just find your new favorite quick gaming fix!
