🎀 Dove x Crumbl: Hit or Miss? 🎀

When you first smell this straight from the tube, you might even gag—like I did. I almost considered not testing it at all because of how stinky it smelled to me. But then I remembered that sometimes perfumes don’t smell right straight from the bottle but end up amazing on the skin. So, I decided to put the Dove x Crumbl Deodorant in Lemon Glaze to the test.

I first applied one swipe on my wrist—just in case it smelled just as bad on the skin, I’d be ready to wash it off. I gave it a minute, and it started smelling like lemon cookies in the best way possible. I was so surprised. I applied a few more swipes to make sure I wasn’t imagining it, and oh em gee, this actually smells kind of good on the skin. Just give it a few minutes for that initial gag-inducing scent to fade—it needs time to blend with your skin.

The packaging is super adorable, and I’m so happy I decided to test this out. I love the pink, coquette-ish color—it’s one of my favorites and taps into a girly aesthetic I’m obsessed with. I don’t even like Crumbl cookies that much, but this was nice. I could see myself pairing it with a cookies-and-cream-based gourmand perfume. I’d rate this a 4/5.

💌 Brand: Dove

🤔Cons: Smell might make you gag straight from the tube

⭐️Overall rating: 6/10 for me - it doesn’t smell bad on me because it mixes well with my skin chemistry but it can easily smell sour and bad if it doesn’t mix well. Also I don’t like how wet it stays.

... Read moreI know my initial review of the Dove x Crumbl Lemon Glaze deodorant touched upon its unique scent journey, but I wanted to dive a little deeper into what makes this product such a conversation starter. When I first got my hands on that adorable pink Dove x Crumbl Lemon Glaze deodorant stick, I was genuinely taken aback by the almost chemical, initial unpleasant smell straight from the tube. It felt like a bait-and-switch! But as I mentioned, patience is key here. What's fascinating is how much skin chemistry truly plays a role. I've been experimenting with fragrances for years, and this deodorant is a prime example of how a scent can totally transform. On my skin, that harsh first whiff quickly mellowed into a delightful, pleasant lemon cookie scent. It’s not just a fleeting note; it really blooms into something warm, zesty, and sweet, reminiscent of a freshly baked shortbread with a lemon glaze. But I’ve heard from friends that on some, it can lean a bit more artificial or even sour, which is why I rated it a 6/10 overall – it’s a gamble! If you're sensitive to how scents interact with your body chemistry, I definitely recommend doing a patch test, perhaps on your inner elbow, before fully committing. Give it about 10-15 minutes to fully develop its true scent profile. Another point that often comes up in discussions about this deodorant is its wet texture. Yes, it does go on feeling a bit wet, and it doesn't dry down instantly like some gel or solid stick formulas. For me, this wasn't a dealbreaker, but it's something to consider if you prefer a completely dry application. My tip? Apply it, give it a minute or two to settle, and then proceed with dressing. Or, if you're really sensitive to the wetness, you could try applying it right after your shower when your skin is still a little damp, allowing it to blend in more seamlessly as you dry off. Now, let's talk about the fun part: pairing it with perfume! The idea of a 'crumbl cookie perfume' isn't just a fantasy with this deodorant. Its gourmand lemon cookie profile makes it an excellent base for layering. I've found it works beautifully with vanilla-based perfumes, adding a bright, zesty twist to the warmth. Imagine a rich vanilla bean scent with a hint of lemon zest – pure deliciousness! It also complements other dessert-inspired fragrances, like those with notes of caramel, almond, or even other fruity gourmands. If you have a dedicated 'crumbl cookie perfume' or any sweet, bakery-like scents, this deodorant can elevate your overall fragrance experience, adding an unexpected layer of freshness. It truly helps create a cohesive scent story from head to toe. Despite the initial sniff test shock and the variable scent due to skin chemistry, I still adore the cute packaging. That pink, coquette-inspired design just makes me happy every time I reach for it. It really does tap into that fun, girly aesthetic. So, while it's not a perfect 10/10, if you're curious about unique gourmand scents, enjoy a bit of a fragrance adventure, and appreciate adorable beauty products, the Dove x Crumbl Lemon Glaze deodorant is definitely worth exploring. Just remember to give it time and let your skin work its magic!

It didn't smell bad to me in the packaging it just didn't smell like lemon cookies, so I was disappointed, but once I put on my skin, it smelled amazing.

I picked the same one up from a target shelf and decided to smell it, i was in absolute shock at the smell, like it was NOT LEMON COOKIE, my dad overreacts to bad smell so I had to make him try it, and he smelled it and threw up in his mouth. (Sorry if that was nasty I couldn’t stop laughing)
