A ggulteok-inspired hack using Tteokkbokki

Small batch ggulteok-style tteokbokki

Ingredients

• A handful of tteokbokki (thicker kind)

• Sesame oil, for coating

Sesame honey glaze

• 1½ tbsp roasted sesame seeds, crushed

• 1 tbsp honey

• 1 tsp brown sugar

• 1 tsp sesame oil

• 1 tsp water

• Pinch of salt

Steps

Steam rinsed, lightly oiled tteok until soft and stretchy, about 7 minutes.

Mix glaze ingredients and microwave for 10 seconds to melt.

Pour over hot tteok and serve warm.

Warm, pillowy, sticky, and perfectly chewy 🤍
