🎧💔 Book Review: King of Pain

📚 Title: King of Pain (Damaged Hearts #1 )

👤 Author: J.P. Joseph

From the moment I opened King of Pain, I knew I was in for something emotional and different. J.P. Joseph delivers a hauntingly beautiful MM romance that expertly weaves together pain, healing, 80s nostalgia, found family and undying love.

What stands out:

The protagonists: Anthony (aka Ant) and Chance. Ant is a college football player turned record-store employee, carrying a heavy past. Chance is the newcomer with his own trauma and edge. Their first meeting in a vinyl-laden 80s-music record store sets the tone.

If you’re into MM romance with lots of heart (and yes, tears), that slow-burn builds into something spectacular, and you don’t mind a longer read with serious emotional heft—this one is for you. It hits hard, it heals, and it stays with you. I’d give it 4.5 stars (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½).
