In my own experience learning about this, we tested to see what blood type we were, learned the many components of blood, how to take blood pressure, and even how blood flows through the heart🩸!
I didn’t know the specifics of blood before this, so I’m sure you could tell this was a really fun experience for me😅.

White blood cells, also known as leukocytes, play a vital role in the body's immune defense system. There are five primary types of leukocytes, each with unique functions essential for fighting infections and maintaining health. The acronym "Never Let Monkeys Eat Bananas" helps remember these types: Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, and Basophils. Neutrophils are the most abundant white blood cells and act as first responders to microbial infection by engulfing pathogens through phagocytosis. Lymphocytes consist mainly of B cells and T cells, which are crucial for adaptive immunity—B cells produce antibodies, while T cells destroy infected cells and coordinate immune responses.
