Spooky Month!!

Happy October, everyone! Can you believe it's officially Spooky Month again? There’s just something magical about this time of year, with the crisp air, falling leaves, and the promise of all things spooky and fun. I'm already so excited to embrace the Halloween month vibes! One of my absolute favorite parts of Halloween is, of course, the costumes! I've been brainstorming ideas for weeks. Are you leaning towards a classic witch costume this year, perhaps with a modern twist? I love thinking about all the different kinds of witches you can be – from a whimsical, good witch with sparkling accessories to a dark, mysterious sorceress with a pointed hat and a broom. There are so many possibilities to make it uniquely yours! Last year, I saw someone whose costume was inspired by a skeleton, but they added such intricate makeup that it looked like a work of art. And who doesn't love a cute black cat costume? Beyond the classics, I've also been thinking about popular spooky characters. It's always so much fun to see how creative everyone gets. I even saw a cute idea to recreate the charm of iconic characters like the Peanuts gang trick-or-treating – imagine Snoopy with his top hat on a giant carved pumpkin! It’s all about bringing those spooky and beloved characters to life. But Halloween isn't just about the costumes, right? It's about creating that unforgettable atmosphere. I love decorating my space to get into the spirit. This year, I'm planning to really lean into the spooky aesthetic. Think about setting up some glowing lanterns on a spooky tree in the yard, or hanging friendly ghosts to greet trick-or-treaters at the door. Carved pumpkins are a must, of course – big ones, small ones, funny ones, scary ones! You can even try painting them with your favorite spooky characters. And let's not forget the fun activities! I'm definitely looking forward to some cozy nights watching Halloween movies under a purple night sky, maybe with some homemade spooky treats. Baking pumpkin-spiced goodies or making caramel apples perfectly captures the essence of Halloween month.
