🌸My Life With Hyperthyroidism/Graves Disease

It has been a roller coaster for sure. The constant doctor appointments, remembering to take medication on time, and the overall strain on my body has truly been a humbling experience. But through it all I still manage to wake up and be thankful for another day and I try my hardest to stay on track of my daily goals.

So far, I have been managing :

~10-12k steps per day

~ hydrations

~skin care

~healthy and mindful eating

Just a reminder to be thankful and grateful because it could be worse.

... Read moreHyperthyroidism, also known as Graves disease, affects many individuals, leading to a range of symptoms like fatigue, weight loss, and anxiety. It's essential to stay informed about this condition and the treatment options available. Achieving the right thyroid hormone levels can help alleviate the symptoms, but it often requires a multifaceted approach. Regular monitoring of hormone levels, adhering to medication schedules, and leading a health-conscious lifestyle are critical components. Individuals are encouraged to engage with support communities and healthcare professionals to navigate their journey. Incorporating regular physical activity like walking or gentle exercise can improve overall health and mental well-being. Additionally, prioritizing hydration, skincare, and a balanced diet can offset some of the illness's impacts. Mindfulness practices can also play a vital role; techniques such as meditation or journaling foster a positive mental attitude, enabling better management of stress associated with the condition. It’s important to remember that while living with hyperthyroidism presents challenges, many people thrive with the right strategies and support.

My graves just turned into hashimotos and now my doctor believes I may be good without medication. It’s been 2 years and 7 months since I’ve been diagnosed and If I’m in remission it’ll be one of the happiest days of my life! Working on losing the weight I gained. Trying to get back down below 200lbs.
