morning + night skincare routine

I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin this summer so i thought i’d share my skincare routine!

i use a lot of korean skincare products and products that score really well ingredient wise (the app “yuka” is great for testing ingredients)

i try my best to learn which products work best together and which ones should not mix 🙅🏽‍♀️

i think i got my routine down but lmk any tips/suggestions/advice im always up for learning!

!!WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID!!

yes my skin has gotten so much clearer since starting this routine BUT i’m also on birth control which is known to help clear skin up so i can’t attribute my clear skin completely to skincare

i do think a mixture of both has helped me so much!

everyone’s skin is different so maybe these products will work well for you or maybe not but perhaps it’s worth a try :)

Standing in front of my bathroom mirror, it's not just about mindlessly slapping things on; it's a mindful process that makes all the difference! I’ve learned that truly seeing what you’re doing, observing your skin up close, helps ensure every inch gets the love it deserves. It’s my little self-care ritual, transforming a simple task into a moment of calm. First, the cleansing step. My brightening face wash isn't just about removing the day's grime; it's about prepping my skin as a clean canvas. I gently massage it in circular motions for about 60 seconds, paying extra attention to my T-zone where makeup and oils tend to accumulate, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Next, a balancing toner – I like to pat this into my skin with my fingertips rather than a cotton pad to avoid wasting precious product and for better absorption. This step feels so refreshing and helps reset my skin's pH. If I have any uninvited guests (read: breakouts!), that's when my acne spot treatment comes out. I dab a tiny amount directly onto the blemish with a clean finger or a cotton swab, making sure not to spread it around. Patience is key here; I let it dry completely before moving on. Then come the serums. For my skin-evening serums, I usually warm a few drops between my palms before gently pressing them onto my face and neck. I use light, upward strokes, almost like a mini-facial massage. This not only helps activate the ingredients but also encourages lymphatic drainage and allows for an even spread. I always make sure to let each product absorb for a minute or two before layering the next, giving my skin time to drink it all in. Moisture is absolutely crucial, especially at night when your skin is in repair mode! It feels luxurious and I wake up to plump, hydrated skin. And let's not forget the often-neglected lips! Beyond the specific products, it’s about consistency and technique. Whether you’re using a brightening serum in the morning or focusing on skin-evening serums at night, the way you apply them can really boost their effectiveness.
