This is the third time I’ve visited San Francisco. Only here for one day we revisited some favorite spots and skipped the touristy stuff we saw last time.
📍Home SF - Cutest coffee shop right by the Dragon Gate in China Town. The birthday cake latte is so pretty
📍China Town - Fun to walk around! Pro tip come for Chinese New Year the parade is incredible
📍 Conservatory of Flowers - $15 ea for adults. Small area within Golden Gate Park. Tropical flowers and plants from all over the world
📍 Haight St - SO much vintage shopping
📍Beit Rima - We asked a local for food suggestion and this did not disappoint. Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had.
📍Painted Ladies - nice park to relax in and look at the beautiful iconic homes.
📍Hayes Valley - love the shops around here. Didn’t leave empty handed from Credo Beauty
📍Dumpling Home - Our second time. The spicy pork xiao long bao is my fave.
📍Golden Boy Pizza - Another fave! Got out for a stroll in the North End for a late night snack

Beyond the usual tourist landmarks, neighborhoods like Hayes Valley offer boutique shopping gems where you can find sustainable beauty brands like Credo Beauty, perfect for those wanting unique and eco-conscious products.
One place I highly recommend is the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. For a modest entry fee, you’re transported to a tropical paradise with lush plants rarely seen elsewhere. It’s ideal for nature lovers or anyone seeking a peaceful break from city bustle.
When in Chinatown, if your timing aligns with the Chinese New Year, don’t miss the vibrant parade. It’s a spectacular cultural event filled with color, music, and traditional performances, offering an unforgettable local experience.
Foodwise, asking locals can lead you to culinary treasures like Beit Rima, where the dishes showcase authentic rich flavors that surprised me with every bite. For quick bites, Dumpling Home's spicy pork xiao long bao is a must-try that combines tradition with a tantalizing kick.
After a day exploring, winding down at the Painted Ladies is truly special. Sitting in the nearby park with views of these iconic Victorian houses lets you soak in classic San Francisco charm. And if you’re a vintage lover, Haight Street’s eclectic shops are treasure troves for one-of-a-kind fashion finds.
Lastly, a late-night stroll and slice from Golden Boy Pizza in the North End offers a quintessential San Francisco end to your day—comfort food with a local vibe.
Overall, blending less touristy sites with hidden gems creates a fulfilling San Francisco day packed with culture, nature, great food, and shopping. It’s a perfect snapshot of the city’s diverse spirit that many travelers miss.
