✨ Tip 1: Download the maps of these trails beforehand, they are less frequented and maintained, so it could be easier to lose sight of the trail.
How it helped me: My phone provider stinks in this area, and when there was some scrambling up the Leigh Lake trailhead I was beyond lucky to have the directions downloaded for the unmarked trail.
✨ Tip 2: To reach the trailhead, drive a 4WD clearance vehicle!
How it helped me: The roads are mostly gravel and can be pretty washed out during the spring season! We still almost got stuck due to the mud.
✨ Tip 3: Double check the trailhead locations!!
How it helped me: The Baptiste trailhead has been relocated recently, a blessing to have learned beforehand.
Also upon finishing up this post, I’ve realized that the Baptiste Lookout is actually the forest district over from the cabinet mountains, but I’m keeping it since it’s still close enough.
