Tour the Christmas Story House!

My family took a roadtrip to Cleveland, Ohio in the summer of 2024. One of the coolest things that we got to do was tour the House from A Christmas Story!

A Christmas Story is a favorite in my household, so when we saw we could rent The Bumpus House right next door to the house from A Christmas Story, we knew we had to! (I’ll make another post with pics from the house!)

You can get guided tours of the Christmas Story House all year round. We went in June so while it didn’t feel quite like Christmas, it was a ton of fun!

We got to see the famous leg lamp, walk through the kitchen and see the turkey they were supposed to eat on Christmas, and go upstairs to see Ralphie’s C+ essay on what he wanted for Christmas as well as his decoded message to drink his Ovaltine! (Looks like hidden branding isn’t a recent thing 🤔)

Across the street was the Christmas Story museum and gift shop, where you could see actual costumes and props that were used in the movie! I got a leg lamp shot glass which is one of my favorite things to bring out around the holidays 😂
