reading journal entry #3

📖: the ghostwriter by alessandra torre

✨: 3.5/5

💭: this is the second book i've read by this author and it simply just wasn't as good. it wasn't a bad book by any means but i felt like a lot of it was a drag and some of the bits of the main characters personality were lost as the book was ending. it was certainly a page turner and grasped my attention but it's nothing to reach for again.

While the book captured my attention with its thrilling elements, I felt some character arcs fell flat towards the end. The narrative presents a protagonist wrestling with their past, challenging the reader to consider how circumstances shape one's choices. With its engaging plot, the novel serves as an excellent choice for fans of psychological thrillers. For readers who enjoy deeper examinations of character relationships woven into a suspenseful storyline, this book shines brightly but might not be worth a second read for everyone.
