Come home ♥️

I hope to teach my kids how to cook healthy simple meals that will create memories to make with their kids. I hate that i started at below zero. Nobody taught me how to cook. I don’t have any memories of mom or grandma in the kitchen showing me recipes. Which is why I hope to give that to my kids. But more than anything I hope they know they can come home and have dinner any night, he’ll even every night at mom and dads house. Supper is always available for them here. Come let mama fill your cup #sahm #momoffive #fillyourcup

Teaching them how to prepare healthy and simple meals not only equips them with essential life skills but also offers a chance to strengthen our bond. I believe cooking together creates memories that will be treasured for generations. One valuable lesson I’ve learned is the importance of balance: while I want my children to be confident in the kitchen, I also want them to know that home is a place where they don’t need to worry about cooking every single night. Having a family table where supper is always ready is a powerful symbol of love and security. This open invitation to "come home" to a warm meal and a full cup is about nourishment beyond food—it’s about emotional connection and support. Incorporating simple, healthy recipes that kids can master builds their independence. I also focus on making the kitchen a fun and safe environment where mistakes are part of learning. From cutting vegetables to mixing ingredients, these activities not only teach practical skills but also instill confidence and creativity. Most importantly, I want my children to appreciate the tradition of sharing meals with loved ones, just as I wish I had experienced with my own mom and grandma. Creating this space for them feels like healing my inner child—a way to pass on love and care through the timeless act of cooking together. Ultimately, the goal is for them to carry these lessons forward, cooking not just out of necessity but also as a way to connect with their own families in the future. And whenever life gets busy or overwhelming, they will always know they can "come home" for comfort, nourishment, and the simple joy of a shared meal.
