7 Day National Parks Road Trip ~ Utah & Nevada 🚙🏞️
This week long road trip is a must for anyone who loves the magic of national parks 🫶 Highly recommend traveling here in the spring when the weather is nice and the crowds aren't as bad.
☀️ Day 1-3 ~ Zion National Park
I can't begin to describe the beauty of this place. We spent the most time here and it still wasn't enough. Highlights included:
🌳 Scouts Lookout & Angels Landing Hike (note that Angels Landing is a difficult & risky hike. even just making it to Scouts Lookout offers you gorgeous views)
🌳 Riverside Walk
🌳 Canyon Overlook Trail
🌳 Emerald Pools Trail
☀️ Day 4-5 ~ Grand Canyon National Park
This was obviously a must see, but it was probably our least favorite of the 4 parks. So beautiful and awe inspiring, but less activities to do. The highlights:
⛰️ Grand Canyon Village
⛰️ Bright Angel Trail
⛰️ Mather Point
⛰️ Taking the shuttle along the rim and stop at various viewpoints
☀️ Day 6 ~ Canyonlands National Park
We were awestruck by this park. So underrated and wished we had more time there. Highlights:
🌾 Mesa Arch
🌾 Green River Overlook
🌾 Grand View Point
☀️ Day 7 ~ Arches National Park
The entire landscape of this park is so unique and stunning. Literally feels like you're on a different planet. Everything you do here is so cool, but here are the highlights
💫 Delicate Arch
💫 Double Arch
💫 Skyline Arch
💫 Sand Dune Arch
💫 Turret Arch
For those planning a 7-day adventure through Utah and Nevada's national parks, there are a few essential tips to consider. Timing your trip in the spring is ideal, as the weather is milder and crowds are smaller, allowing for a more enjoyable experience. Start in Zion National Park, where you can tackle the famous Angels Landing hike, best reserved for experienced hikers due to its challenging nature. Don’t miss the stunning views from Scouts Lookout. Next, the Grand Canyon showcases its own unique beauty, with iconic viewpoints such as Mather Point, where you can take in the vast canyon expanse. Though packed with beauty, it may feel less interactive than other parks but offers great shuttle services for exploring various viewpoints effortlessly. Canyonlands National Park is often underrated, but its expansive vistas and unique geological formations, such as Mesa Arch, highlight its charm. Finally, round off your trip at Arches National Park, known for its distinctive rock formations like Delicate Arch that feel otherworldly. Each park provides a unique experience and a chance to connect with nature, making this road trip an unforgettable way to explore some of the best that America has to offer.
