For the girlies w/ 4C

For the girlies, like myself, who were never taught how to take care of their 4C hair.

I HATE doing my hair. Mostly I hated the wash process because I was never taught how to properly wash and take care of this 4C hair of mine. Therefore I just didn’t do anything to it. Slapped a wig and went. Hair was so thin and damaged from me not taking care of it. It was a painful, long, and dreaded process for me untillllllll I found the right products for my hair! Once I started using these products wash day went from 3 hours to maybe a 1 and a half (including a deep condition).

No pain, no more endless detangling. I love my hair now. Now if we could just figure out styles for it I’d be in business 😂

1st pic: pre-wash products (make sure to wet your hair before and after adding the products, makes it much slicker)

2nd pic: wash products (I need my conditioner to have all the sulfates and things 😂 so if you’re a pure natural girly who only likes natural products use whatever conditioner you like)

3rd pic: post wash products (I like to just put two strand twists in my hair bc it’s what I know how to do for now lol. But I’m all about the LOC method. Leave-in, Oil, Cream— I swear by TGIN. The products make my hair so soft and manageable. Very hydrating too! I use oil with biotin but any oil will do. Do you boo!)

4th pic: (optional: these are products I just added to my regime, I use them to twist my hair. When I tell you they make the coils amazing. I haven’t used them separately yet. I’ll let yall know how they do on their own. But together *chef’s kiss*

I hope this helps somebody who is at their wit-ends with their thick, coily hair. We got this 😊

... Read moreTaking care of 4C hair can be a challenge, especially if you're not familiar with the right techniques and products. The key to managing thick, coily hair lies in understanding the unique texture and needs of your hair type. One effective method mentioned is the LOC method—applying Leave-in conditioner, Oil, and Cream in that specific order for optimal moisture retention. Use high-quality products that have moisturizing ingredients like aloe and coconut water. Brands like TGIN and products with argan oil are popular for their hydrating effects, making the hair manageable and reducing breakage. Always ensure to wet your hair adequately before applying any products to enhance slip and ease the detangling process. Regular conditioning treatments, including deep conditioners, can transform your wash days from dreaded marathons into efficient rituals. Remember, consistency is essential in hair care; establishing a routine that works for you and regularly assessing your hair's condition will guide you in making product adjustments. Additionally, experimenting with hairstyles, such as two-strand twists, can protect the hair while adding style. For those who feel overwhelmed, joining online communities can provide support and tips from others on the same 4C hair journey.
