Somewhere along the way, I confused loyalty with love…
Consistency with care…
Familiarity with a future.
I poured into someone who only gave me drips.
I made excuses for half-effort because I saw their potential.
But today? I’m seeing me more clearly.
I’m done begging for the bare minimum from people I’d give the world to.
I’m done arguing with reality and trying to rewrite a love story that was never fully mutual.
I’m not in my emotions anymore — I’m in motion.
From this point forward, I choose me.
I choose peace.
I choose alignment over attachment.
If you can’t love me out loud, don’t expect to be near me in silence.
If you can’t meet me halfway, stay where you are.
I’m not looking back. I’m walking into my healing era — barefoot if I have to.
This ain’t heartbreak.
It’s homecoming.
To myself. For myself. Finally.
