Today’s Pink Rabbit Sighting 🐇
Today was one mistake after another.
One small thing. Then another. Something I overlooked. Then an attempt to fix the first thing created something else that needed fixing.
And of course, my first instinct was — speed up.
Come on. Focus. Fix it. Catch up. Keep going.
And then it occurred to me that maybe I was doing exactly the opposite of what I needed to do.
Maybe mistakes aren’t always a sign that we need to try harder.
Maybe sometimes they’re a sign that we need to slow down.
Because when we’re too busy trying to finish everything, fix everything, and keep everything under control, we start missing the things that actually deserve our attention.
Not because they aren’t there.
But because we rushed right past them.
And there’s something interesting that happens when you slow down.
When you slow down, somehow the world seems to slow down with you.
Suddenly, you have time to notice the little things.
Something someone said.
A look you would normally have missed.
A strange coincidence.
A thought that appeared out of nowhere.
Maybe even a rabbit. 🐇
But first, you have to slow down enough to notice it.
