Many choose elegant cocktail dresses that hit around the knee or midi length. Flowing maxi dresses or sophisticated evening gowns are also popular, especially if the event is more formal. Comfort is often a top priority, so look for fabrics that move easily and don't feel restrictive. Think about beautiful silks, chiffons, or soft lace.
