Tater tot Hotdish

Hotdish Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground hamburger

• 1 can cream of chicken soup

• 1 bag tater tots (regular or mini)

• 1/3 bag of frozen corn (plus a little extra for topping)

• 2–3 slices of bacon (or more, if you like)

• Butter (several small pats)

Spices (to taste):

• Salt

• Pepper

• Season salt (optional)

• Paprika (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 360°F.

2. In a skillet over medium–high heat, brown the hamburger.

3. While the meat cooks, line the bottom of a casserole dish with a layer of tater tots and sprinkle lightly with salt.

4. When the meat is done, turn off the heat. Stir in the cream of chicken soup and 1/3 bag of corn. Season with salt, pepper, and (if you have) season salt and paprika.

5. Spoon the mixture evenly over the bottom layer of tater tots.

6. Add a second layer of tater tots on top. Lightly salt. Sprinkle a little corn over the top.

7. Cut bacon into small pieces and place over the casserole. Add several small pats of butter around the top.

8. Bake for 40–45 minutes. If you want crispier bacon, broil for an extra 3–4 minutes at the end.

9. Let sit for 5–10 minutes before serving.
