Okay, so rating names is something I absolutely LOVE doing! It's not just about picking favorites; it's about diving into what makes a name truly special, whether it's super popular or wonderfully unique. When I say a name is 'cute,' like Mya (which I gave a 9/10 for being simple but very cute!), I often think of something sweet, easy to say, and with a lovely, gentle sound. These are the names that just make you smile. Then there are the 'pretty' names, which often have a bit more elegance or a classic feel. Names like Faith (a personal 10/10 for being so pretty) or Luna (another 10/10 and one of my absolute favorites!) fall into this category for me. They have a timeless beauty and often evoke serene or enchanting images, which really ties into the 'soft aesthetic names' vibe I adore. It's all about that dreamy, gentle feel. Popularity is another big factor. A lot of you search for 'how popular is the name Brooklyn,' and I totally get it. Brooklyn, which I rated 8/10, is a great example of a name that's both popular and undeniably cute. There's a reason so many people love it! Popular names often have a familiar, comforting quality, but sometimes knowing a name is super common makes you look for something a little different. That's where names like Tatum (7/10, so unique!) or Keatyn (7/10, pretty and unique) come in. They stand out in a lovely way, offering a fresh sound without being too out there. And let's talk about the 'impressions' a name leaves. This is where personal preferences and feelings really shine. For instance, I rated McKenzie an 8/10, partly because I love the cute nicknames you can get from it! Nicknames can totally enhance a name's appeal, adding another layer of charm. Similarly, a name like Peyton (8/10, really cute) just gives off a friendly, spirited impression. Even Stella (7/10, cute and pretty) has a bright, star-like feel about it. Ultimately, rating names is such a fun, subjective journey. What one person finds 'really pretty,' another might find 'just okay.' It's about sound, meaning, personal associations, and even how it looks written down. What are your criteria when you think about 'really cute names' or names with a 'soft aesthetic'? Do you prefer traditional or modern? Super popular or wonderfully unique? I'd love to hear your thoughts and what names you'd rate highly – maybe I'll even feature them in my next name rating post!
