Bad For Business ARC Review: 4⭐️

Ahhh!! You guys are going to LOVE Bad for Business!! The tension and slow burn between Ryker and Camille was so good!

It was nice to be welcomed back to Pembroke Hills. The storyline was so fun to read. And their banter? Made the story so much better. I love a good amount of banter especially in an enemies to lovers romance!

I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline of her being his publicist trying to fix the image he had created for himself to help not only prove to his father’s board that he is ready and able to take over the company while also trying to prove to her employer (sorry I cannot acknowledge him as her father) that she is able to me promoted to partner in the company.

I love how they both helped each other grow and become better people. But the reason she HATES him at first??? Ahhh I can’t tell you, you will just have to read it. But the book is so good!

... Read moreThe book Bad for Business intricately weaves a compelling narrative centered around the dynamic relationship between Ryker and Camille, set in the scenic and exclusive Pembroke Hills Country Club area, a detail hinted at in the OCR content. Their relationship is emblematic of the classic ‘enemies to lovers’ trope, intensified by Camille’s role as Ryker’s publicist aiming to reshape his controversial public image. This image makeover is not merely personal but also a strategic move to convince Ryker’s father’s board that he is the rightful successor to his family’s business empire. This tension between personal and professional stakes adds layers to the story, making it richer and more engaging. This narrative also explores themes of personal growth and ambition, with Camille herself striving for a promotion to partner within her agency, driven by her determination to prove her capabilities independently from her employer, who plays a complicated role reminiscent of familial ties but lacks acknowledged paternal authority. Their interactions are charged with a witty banter that elevates the slow-burning romantic tension. The blend of romance and corporate drama, set against the backdrop of the elegant Pembroke Hills community, creates a sophisticated atmosphere that appeals to readers who enjoy layered storytelling. The OCR text references elements such as the BSTKESS Members Luncheon, the Pembroke Hills Country Club, and an emphasis on Ryker’s persona and actions, all suggesting a tightly knit social environment where appearances and reputation are paramount. Camille’s struggle to manage Ryker’s image in this high-society setting adds authenticity and stakes to her mission. The reference to phrases like “Keep Ryker doing stupid” and “get him to listen” implies a plot filled with humorous yet strategic challenges, making the story multifaceted and relatable. For readers who appreciate romance novels that combine emotional depth, character development, and the tension of corporate politics, Bad for Business offers a gratifying read. The themes of trust, redemption, and overcoming past grievances resonate throughout their evolving relationship, offering more than just romance—it’s about two complex individuals helping each other grow amid external pressures and inner conflicts. This makes the book not only an entertaining read but also one that reflects the complexities of modern relationships and professional ambitions.
