Posters i’ve made for my classroom!

Setting up my classroom each year is one of my favorite parts of being a teacher! I've found that well-designed classroom posters aren't just pretty decor; they're essential tools for creating a positive and organized learning environment, especially for elementary students. They really help reinforce key concepts and expectations without me having to repeat myself constantly, making them fantastic educational posters. One of the first things I focus on is teaching respect. My 'RESPECT' poster breaks down what that truly means: Responsibility, Excellence, Self Control, Politeness, Empathy, Creativity, and Teamwork. It's a fantastic visual reminder for students about how to interact with each other and their learning materials. We refer to it often during morning meetings, making it a powerful motivational poster for elementary children. Managing noise can be a challenge, so my 'VOICE LEVELS' chart is a lifesaver. From 'Silent' work to 'Table Talk' and 'Presenter' voices, it clearly shows students what's expected for different activities. To keep things flowing smoothly, I use a 'Hand Signal Icons' poster for common requests like 'Tissue,' 'Drink,' or 'Bathroom.' This minimizes disruptions during instruction. And for deep learning, 'WHOLE BODY LISTENING' is key! My poster reminds students about active listening: 'eyes on the speaker, quiet mouth, listening ears, quiet hands and feet, thinking brain, and caring heart.' It’s a great visual for developing those crucial social-emotional skills, truly an educational poster for any school classroom. Finally, classroom jobs are invaluable for fostering a sense of community and responsibility. I've designed fun 'Classroom Job Cards' featuring Peanuts characters for tasks like 'Line Leader,' 'Tech Assistant,' 'Librarian,' and 'Clean Up Crew.' Having specific roles, even 'On Vacation' for rotating jobs, gives every student ownership of our classroom space. It makes them feel like a vital part of our school community! I also have a 'THE PERFECT FRIEND' poster featuring Snoopy, which is a sweet reminder about important social qualities.
