100 Days of School!
Can you believe we've reached 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL already? It feels like just yesterday we were starting, and now we're celebrating this huge milestone! As a teacher, I absolutely love planning for the 100th day because it's such a fantastic opportunity for fun, learning, and reflection. Over the years, I've gathered so many exciting 100 days of school activity ideas that truly engage the kids and make the day memorable. If you're looking for fresh inspiration for your classroom or even for home, you've come to the right place! One of the most classic and beloved 100th day activities is anything involving collecting 100 items. I've seen students bring in 100 pennies, 100 buttons, 100 small LEGO bricks, or even 100 noodles! We often turn this into a counting and sorting station, or sometimes we use the items to build a tower of 100 or create a collaborative art piece. It’s a brilliant way to reinforce number sense and fine motor skills. Another great idea is a '100-item scavenger hunt' around the classroom or school – it gets them moving and thinking! For kindergarten, simplicity and hands-on experiences are key. We love making '100th day glasses' out of paper plates or creating a picture of what they'll look like when they're 100 years old. These activities are not only fun but also spark imagination and conversation. We also do lots of counting games, like jumping 100 times or clapping 100 times, to really solidify that number in their minds. You can even have them draw or write about what they would do if they had $100. Looking for some active 100 day PE activities? We often set up a '100-second challenge station.' Kids try to do as many jumping jacks, hops, or arm circles as they can in 100 seconds. We also incorporate a '100-step walk' around the playground or gym. Another favorite is a relay race where teams have to complete 10 different tasks, each done 10 times, to reach 100 total actions. It's fantastic for burning off energy and promoting teamwork! Beyond just counting, the 100th day is perfect for creative expression. We've made '100-piece collages' using magazine cutouts, or written '100 words I know' lists. For a fun group activity, I sometimes challenge them to build something using 100 straws or 100 craft sticks. The possibilities are endless when you focus on the number 100 as a theme. Remember, the goal is to celebrate the learning journey and the progress made during the first 100 days. Whether you're a teacher looking for fresh ideas or a parent wanting to mark this special day, these fun 100 days of school activities are sure to be a hit. Don't stress about making it perfect; just enjoy the excitement and wonder with your students!

I love it !!!
