End of Year Comic One-Pager

It sparks conversations and gives classmates new book recommendations. To make this activity even more practical, I usually provide a variety of art supplies – colored pencils, markers, maybe some glitter – and give them ample time to draw and write. Some students prefer to focus more on drawing their illustrated stories, while others lean into the writing. Both are perfectly fine! We then dedicate time for sharing, either in small groups or as a whole class. It’s always fascinating to see the diverse memories and skills they highlight.
